Geocaching

"Geo" meaning earth or land and "cache" being a hidden place where items are kept, geocaching is a world-wide treasure hunt in which the hunt is the treasure (Maybe the real treasure was the experiences we had along the way). Similar to lit analog predecessor letterboxing, geocaching began in the year 2000 and was initially called a GPS stash hunt but the name was quickly changed. It is essentially a waterproof container with several items and a visitors log within whose precise coordinates are posted online for other to find. Geocachers then seek out the cache using GPS navigation to take something, add something, and sign the provided log. It's a treasure hunt for the modern world and a chance to get outside with a destination in mind. Download the geocache app onto your phone and get started today if you like and find below resources, tips, and information about geocaching.
