Land Back is a decades old movement that has a half a dozen faces. The general rallying point is multifaceted:
- The return of federal lands to the tribe from whom they were stolen, particularly Mount Rushmore, which stands in the sacred Black Hills in South Dakota
- The dismantling and defunding of the institutions and belief systems in place that brought about such evils
- The consent of the governed native nations in all issues pertaining to them in future
