Isobel Huang, SL (1912-1998)

Isobel Huang was a Catholic evangelist in China during a time in which religion was prohibited by law. A student of the Loretto sisters in China and later a member of their community, she assisted victims of the 1931 Yangtze flood. In 1955, she was reported executed by the communists in power. Twenty years later, she was found to be alive, well, and still proclaiming the faith. Isobel Huang is known for her great faith and survival of many disasters.
